JASON BONHAM Selling South Florida Home
August 26, 2010According to BlockShopper South Florida, Jason Bonham, son of the legendary LED ZEPPELIN drummer John Bonham, and his wife have listed for sale a four-bedroom, four-bath home in Boca Raton, Florida for $899,000.
The Bonhams bought the property for $750,000 in Feb. 2005. The 4,225-square-foot house was built in 1993 in the Seasons subdivision. Mitchell B. Greenberg of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent.
Jason Bonham recently admitted that he was apprehensive before signing on to lead the upcoming "Led Zeppelin Experience" tour. Bonham, who filled in for his dad on December 10, 2007 when ZEPPELIN played their one-time-only reunion gig at London's O2 Arena, didn't want to disappoint the band, or sully his father's memory with a less-than-perfect tribute.
Bonham told The Pulse of Radio that he decided early on that a show like this had to be done with the utmost respect for the band — and himself. "When I was being offered to do this kind of a show, just to go 'round and play the LED ZEPPELIN songs and go 'round and play clubs; I mean, I just played with them, and I didn't want it to tarnish what I hold so dearly in my life as one of the greatest moments, really, to play with them, and to have that time rehearsing with them — LED ZEPPELIN, that is," he said.
